ABOUT PARAGON PRECISION METAL
GROWING STRONG BECAUSE OF THE PEOPLE AROUND US
Bob and Paul Williford founded Paragon Precision Metal LLC in 2019, but it wasn’t without the help of other people around them; including their family, employees, customers, and the local community. This help has organically grown their business into a successful “emerging” company that provides quality, custom, sheet metal fabrication across many different industries.
Bob was a manager of Quality at Pfizer Inc. (the American multinational pharmaceutical company), and Paul was a highly-experienced laser application engineer/trainer for Amada America. Together, they started their business as a result of a mutual desire to invest in their family’s future and to find the right balance in family and work so that they could extend this to their employees.
In June 2022, Paragon Precision Metal LLC was honored as a 2022 Emerging Business of the Year award recipient by the Kansas Small Business Development Center.

“Paragon derives from the old Italian word paragone, which literally means ‘touchstone.’ A touchstone is a black stone that was used to judge the purity of gold or silver. The metal was rubbed on the stone and the color of the streak it left indicated its quality. In modern English, both touchstone and paragon have come to signify a standard against which something should be judged.”
